Raiford Brooks, Jr., loving father, and true family man, went home to glory on Saturday, October 14th, 2017. A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Shield Church, 2499 Firetower Rd. (August 18, 1948 - October 14, 2017)
Rock Hill - Raiford Brooks, Jr. was born on Wednesday, August 18th, 1948 in Rock Hill, SC. He devoted his life to serving the Lord, and went home to glory on Saturday, October 14th, 2017. He was the oldest of four brothers, and worked hard every day of his life. Raiford was a true family man, and loved being a Father. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by his children.
Living family include his wife, Linda Ann (Horace) Brooks, and their 8 children together, Sunny Lynn (Brooks) Adams, Jacob Uriah Brooks, Stephen Josiah Brooks, Amos James Brooks, JoAnna Grace Brooks, Merry Ruth Brooks, Railin Moriah Brooks and Glory NellieAnnah Brooks, as well as his first wife Silvia Ann Privett, with which he had two sons, Marcus Dean Brooks and Charles Anthony Brooks, the latter greeted him in heaven. Raiford also has three living brothers, Randy Brooks, Ralph Brooks and Ronnie Brooks, and 16 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4pm on Wednesday, October 18th, 2017 at The Shield Church at 2499 Firetower Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29730. Family and friends are welcome to come any time after 4pm, and are asked to be ready to fellowship and celebrate Raiford’s life. Food and beverages will be provided following the service. A private burial will be attended by the family later in the week.
