3/19/2013  I emailed Jeri Estes  Alexander and asked her to share some history with us about Bubba and Janie. This is her very informative response. Kay

Bubba and Janie (Brown) Married after high school. They had a son, Tracy Walker Estes, who was born in 1967. Bubba and Janie divorced in the 70's. Janie and Tracy moved to the beach and later to Charlotte NC. She died on New Year's Day in 1988 from a fire that started from a cigarette. She was studying for her exams
to be held after the holidays at CPCC where she worked as assistant librarian and fell asleep. She died of smoke inhalation.

Bubba found out Labor Day weekend in 2001 that he had lymphomia. He went thru chemo and died September 5, 2002. He is so missed by our family and his friends.

Tracy bought Bubba's house from the "stepmother" just to keep it in the family since Bubba had built on our family's farm off Hwy 324. Tracy lives in Hermosa Beach CA and works in the movie industry. He helps make commercials and movies. His name is on the "Day after Tomorrow" and "National Treasure" (the 2nd one) to name a couple. He is married and has a daughter, Taylor Jane Estes, who is 16.
