ROCK HILL - Mrs. Rebecca H. McSwain, 68, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Piedmont Medical Center.  

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Woodland United Methodist Church with Dr. Eddie Usher officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born in Rock Hill, Mrs. McSwain was a daughter of the late Paul Stowe Horton and the late Annie Lee Elizabeth Brackett Horton.  She was retired from the Rock Hill School District with 40 years of service and also worked for ATS Carolina.  She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Abigail Circle, the Fellowship Sunday school class and the church council.  She also served as a trustee and was a volunteer in the children’s summer program.  Becky enjoyed bowling on the ladies league and was very generous with her time.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Truett McSwain.

Surviving are her son, Jon Truett McSwain (Kimberly) of Rock Hill; her daughter, Cheryl McSwain Salisbury (Tony) of Rock Hill; her granddaughters, Jordan and Aubrey McSwain and Annaleigh Salisbury; and her sisters, Nancy H. Reagan (Randy) of Birmingham, AL and Susan H. Heckle (Fred) of Smyrna.
