Mike Poole

A little shocked right now. Mike and I were good friends and had several classes together. I remember him sketching several faces and was amazed at how he could make creases and shadows in his drawings. As with many of our friends, I never saw or heard from him again after graduation. Sad....

Mike Poole - Sorry to hear of Mike's passing.  I looked back at a couple of old Northside picture books (the type where you exchanged pictures with friends and pasted them into your book) and in the two I had from 5th grade and 6th grade, there was Mike's pictures.  If I am correct, I believe his family lived down the street from Northside Baptist Church.  He was nice guy and we shared many classes at Northside.  I had not seen him since high school but had heard from someone that he had lost his eyesight.  Sounds like he did not let that hold him back.  The obituary I saw said he had earned a PhD.

I remember art class with Mike. He was very easy going and kind. Sad to hear he lost his vision. Our teacher, Mrs. Kuykendahl I understand lost her vision as well later in life.
