I too have so many fond memories of all the good times with Penny when we were in school. She was always a joy to be around, and there was never a dull moment with her. She made life "fun" whenever she was around. She could life your spirits up with her contagious laugh. She will be surely missed by all who knew and loved her.

I remember that infectious smile. It was a pleasure to know Penny and be around her. The Drifters had a song during our high school era that makes me think of her: "When My Little Girl Is Smiling."

I remember being in several classes with Penny and how nice she was. Sad to loose another classmate. May God watch over her and comfort her family.

7/5/2014 - Just returned from vacation and saw the news about Penny. Eveything you all said about her was true - her infectious laugh, her big smile, her genuine friendliness. She was a unique person and I'm sorry we all couldn't connect with her before her passing so we could have told her personally. This is sad, sad news.

Penny and Vickie Ernandez were good friends and now they're both gone. It breaks my heart. They were both good friends to me in 11th 7 12th grade. I'll always remember them.

When I saw the message regarding Penny's death, the first thing I thought of was her beautiful smile. I only hope her life was as happy as she made others. Her family is blessed to have had her in their life, just as all of her classmates are. It has been many years since I saw Penny, but I will never forget her.

I have struggled with what to say about Penny. I do not handle loss well after losing several people in my life. I remember most that Penny always made me feel happy and good whenever I was around her. She was a special person with a special smile.

So sad to hear about the loss of yet another classmate. Penny was fun, crazy & always had a smile for everyone. Have not seen her in years, but will always remember the fun times: football homecoming representative for Abie E, later to be her husband, beauty section, high school clubs, numerous Elk dances & fun at the river. So sorry for the great loss to her children and family.
The Celebration of Bubba Taylor's life was very memorable. We had screw drivers & bloody mary's for cocktails @ 12 noon, followed by his pastor, family & friends comments. We then enjoyed brunch with his brothers, mother, relatives and friends. We truly should celebrate a persons life & try to stay in touch with each other. Luv to all, Betty
