View Sign CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Patricia Ann Smith Cassells, 64, of Charlotte, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013. A native of Rock Hill, S.C., she was born to Floyd and Alma Stowe Smith on July 2, 1948. She retired from Maintenance Supply Company in Huntersville in 2002. She is loved and missed by her husband of 44 years, Harvey Cassells; her son, Bryan Cassells of Huntersville; her daughter, Suzanne Roakes and husband, Rob and granddaughters, Sarah and Regan of Salisbury; sister, Joyce Smith of Charlotte; brother, Richard Smith and wife, Ann, of Rock Hill; brother-in-law, David Neely and wife, Ruby of Rock Hill; and one niece and two nephews and their families. Pat loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and Mulberry Baptist Church. A special time for her was years earlier when she and her husband, Harvey, taught a marriage enrichment class. She was an eternal role model to those she taught and felt as though they were her own children. Also special to her was weekly Bible study, prayer and Chrismon making groups. Pat loved spending time with her family and being “Mimi” to the precious Sarah and Regan. She spent most of her life dedicating time to helping others on a daily basis. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Mulberry Baptist Church. The service will follow at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. Larry Burns officiating. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to Mulberry Baptist Church Building Fund, 6450 Tuckaseegee Rd., Charlotte, NC 28214.
