
Columbia, SC – Mrs. Catherine W. Cranford, 74, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Laurelwood Cemetery, with Pastor Tom Walker officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Cranford was the daughter of the late Edward Raymond Walker and the late Reola Williams Walker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Mack Arthur Cranford, Sr. She was retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield as an Executive Assistant. She loved shopping and was a very talented singer and pianist. She also enjoyed shagging with her husband in their early years and loved spending time with and talking about her family.
Surviving are her sons, Richard (Kristen) Cranford Jr. of Lexington, SC and Ryan Cranford of Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Anna Cranford and Brandon Cranford; and her sister, Teresa Walker (Rick) Miller of Southport, NC.

A woman whose beautiful heart I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand 20+ years ago as she so lovingly walked by the side of our classmate and her husband Richard Cranford during his final years of illness before being taken from us.
