as accident prone as I am I have Band-Aids in both cars on my tractor and my house in four rooms. And it doesn't help to be on blood thinners. Getting old is not for Sissies.

David, blood thinners don't help, but we are blessed with so ways to plug all the holes when we spring a leak.  Old age certainly isn't for Sissies. I love this Tee shirt which expresses my desire to not have to proove my ability to keep a stiff upper lip all the time. k

I posted this once before  but will do it again. When the '65 football Bearcats were on defence these two fellas were our cornerbacks. When those big offensive gaurds pulled on a sweep around end and some big fullback or speedy halfback was coming fast, these 2 Bearcats took the brunt of the punishment on hitting them first. Jimmy Laughridge and I at saftey would come pile on. Sometimes we got credit for the tackle which really was't fair.

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that classmate Ernie Wright was taken from us earler this morning, Friday, March 8. I received the word from Harry Blue who has been best friends with Ernie since the days they both anchored the defensive backfield for our Bearcat football team. I know Ernie's wife Laura, their children, grandchildren and others in their inner circle would covet your prayers at this difficult time. You finished well, Ernie. Well done, sir.

I'm sorry to hear the news about Ernie. I remember Ernie from Sylvia Circle days until RHHS. About 10 years ago I carried my brother-in-law the the ER in RH and a gentleman spoke to me. I didn't recognize Ernie at first but it was great  to see Ernie there.  We had a nice chat and filled in some old times. So many great memories.

So sorry to hear of Ernie's passing.  We played sports against and with each other from elementary school to high school.  He was a nice guy.  He would work shutdowns at Bowater on occasion and of course, we would chat at reunions. Prayers for his family.
